Bermuda . Their beaches are better than their shorts!

To kick off my 25th birthday , the New Year and our Anniversary , Brandon and I decided to skip the lame (and over priced) dinners and opt for a vacation in paradise instead. We gladly traded in our winter coats for beach and boats.

Check out our full trip here.

If you're looking for some cool , not super touristy things to do on the island, you're in luck. Here is a list of our top 5 favorite activities.

Everyone opts for a vespa while on the island but you can have just as much fun in a Twizzy. The little two seater car is like driving a go-kart around town. Not to mention , it's a way safer option. You just need to be 25 (you can be 24 and a half) and have a valid driver's license. Don't forget that since Bermuda is an English colony , they drive on the left side of the road.

If you keep walking through Horseshoe Bay , you'll stumble on a string of semi-secluded beaches that are just as beautiful but way less crowded. Trek all the way to Jobson's Cove/Bay and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

This place is home to some breathtaking views. Don't be shy , take the path less traveled. You'll surely be rewarded with amazing scenery. Walk from Turtle Bay Beach to Long Beach to take in the sights and sounds at the observation tower

Okay , so this one is super touristy but really cool! If you visit during the winter, your tour group may have anywhere from 4-10 people - nice! During the summer , however, groups can have 20-25 people - not so nice.

Definitely where you want to go if you're looking for an inexpensive drink. Since absolutely nothing on this island is cheap , this was a special find. Beers start at around $4 . This is a huge cost savings since a beer anywhere else usually starts around $8.
